Age category qualification - 2008 championship.

Any member with a birthday during the championship that takes them from one age group to another has the option of the group in which they will compete. They can only compete in one age group. This option MUST be notified to me BEFORE the completion of the first race in the series (Blakes Heaven). If no notification is received the member will compete in the lower of the two age groups for the whole series.

Races competed in before the members birthday will count towards the overall club championship but not count towards the higher age group if that is the option taken.

Example: Fred will be 55 on 25 February. He opts for the V55 category but runs at Blakes Heaven on 2 February. This result will not appear in the V55 results but will be in the overall championship. The Black Combe race in March will be in both.

Fred can of course opt to remain as a V50 and all his races will count.
