The annual Copeland Chase is a navigational race, run as a score event, with various time limits. The longest being a mighty four hours.
It will be run using orienteering maps and symbols. I imagine that strong runners will use Whinlatter forest, Whinlatter Fell, Lords Seat, Barf and Greystones, but don't expect controls to be on the summits. The kites are likely to be on things like marshes, small crags or in re-entrants.

It is best to pre-enter the event. This guarantees a pre-printed map on the day. There may be limited entries on the day, but once all of the maps have gone.... Best to pre-enter here - https://www.sientries.co.uk/event.php?elid=Y&event_id=5024
